Labor Lie:  20,000 police, nurses and teachers will be cut from the NSW system.

TRUTH: Not one, single front-line police officer, nurse or teacher will go.  The 20,000 jobs will ALL be back-room

Labor Lie: 20,000 people will be “sacked”.

TRUTH: Not one, single person will be sacked.  The 20,000 job cuts will be achieved by not filling the jobs of those back-room bureaucrats who retire.

Labor Lie: There will be “fewer police fighting crime”.

TRUTH: The Liberals have committed to 1,720 new police.  Labor has promised only 750.  You do the maths…

Labor Lie: There will be “fewer nurses and health workers in our hospitals”.

TRUTH: The Liberals have committed to 500 new nurses and to improve conditions for nurses, so that they will stay in the system. Labor has failed to provide any incentive for nurses to stay in our public hospitals.

Labor Lie: Handing over workplace laws to the Federal Government (as the Victorian Government did) threatens “penalty rates … annual wage increases … maternity leave … unfair dismissal laws”.

TRUTH: All State government workers will remain under State legislation - and the NSW Liberals voted unanimously to support that! Workers in the private sector will come under the Federal workplace system, where they will be able to negotiate their wages conditions with their employers through union or non-union agreements - and this will happen irrespective of which party governs NSW.

TRUTH: Labor MPs are so ashamed of the 12 years of failure by the Carr/Iemma Government that they don’t have the guts to put any mention of the Labor Party on their propaganda.
