Biography

LogoPeter's experience began with his Navy service followed by business development and general management in the aerospace and rural service industries. He then completed a fulltime, one year MBA before being elected to State Parliament in 1994.

In politics, Peter was a major influence on policy debate in New South Wales and rose to lead his Party and the Coalition to its first increase in voter support in nineteen years and four state elections, achieving a strong 3.9% swing to the Coalition at the 2007 state election. He retired from Parliament in 2011.

After deciding to leave Parliament in early 2011, Peter has contributed much of his time and energy to charities and not-for-profit organisations - including as a member of Legacy, Chairman of The Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Our Big Kitchen Limited at Bondi, Director of PaddleNSW Inc. and Chairman of their Assets & Sponsorship Committee and Director of the Outcomes Australia - Soils for Life Project.
